The 4th International Conference on Viet Nam – Foreign NGOs Cooperation will be held in Ha Noi on December 12-13, 2019.

The conference aims to evaluate the relationship between Vietnam and foreign NGOs for the 2014 to 2019 period, whilst sharing experience as a means of learning lessons to boost the future cooperation process. The event will also provide an opportunity for the nation to share with foreign NGOs and development partners its priorities and needs for co-operation in the 2020 to 2025 period.

Approximately 800 delegates are expected to take part in the conference. Participants will be made up of members from foreign NGOs working in Vietnam, bilateral and multi-lateral development cooperation agencies; international organizations Foreign embassies, donors and enterprises; in addition to representatives from relevant ministries, mass and people’s organizations, local authorities and local NGOs.

During the two-day event, apart from attending the plenary session, delegates will attend six thematic workshops focusing on partnerships between Vietnam and foreign NGOs in several prioritized areas, namely education and training and vocational education; health care; partnership between foreign NGOs and businesses for sustainable development in Vietnam; addressing social issues and war legacies; environment, climate change response, disaster preparedness and prevention and emergency response; along with socio-economic development and poverty reduction.

 

The event is scheduled to take place on December 12-13, 2019 at the National Convention Center in Hanoi./.
