On the morning of 12 August 2025, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations organized a consultation meeting with foreign non-governmental organizations regarding one of the four thematic workshops within the framework of the Fifth International Conference on Cooperation between Viet Nam and Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations and Development Partners for Prosperity and Sustainability, scheduled to take place at the end of 2025. Mr. Trần Phú Cường, Head of the People’s Aid Coordinating Committee (PACCOM), chaired the meeting.
Under the theme “Sustainable Poverty Reduction and the Promotion of Social Issue Resolution toward Sustainable Development Creation and Social Development Governance,” the consultation meeting attracted the participation of 21 foreign non-governmental organizations through both in-person and virtual formats. Participants contributed many insightful, practical and constructive comments, helping the content working group of the People’s Aid Coordinating Committee further refine the orientation and format of the thematic workshop to ensure effective organization, substantive discussions, and responsiveness to practical requirements in the new context.
